Environmental Engineering Faculty Search
The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track faculty assistant professor position in environmental engineering in the Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering (www.eec.wustl.edu ). Endowed Professorial appointments and appointments at the Associate Professor or Full Professor levels are available for exceptional applicants. Joint appointments with other SEAS and university departments are also possible. We seek candidates who have expertise in environmental biotechnology or environmental organic chemistry and demonstrate or show promise of excellence in both teaching and research. Candidates are sought with research interests that complement existing strengths in departmental core areas of Engineered Aquatic Processes and Systems Biology and Metabolic Engineering.
The successful candidate should have an earned Ph.D. in environmental engineering or science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline at the time of appointment. The selected candidate is expected to build an externally-supported research program, teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level, and contribute to interdisciplinary interactions among departments in the School of Engineering and throughout the university related to environmental and energy research.
